Job Overview

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead our Projects Subcontracts division. This position will be based on a Staff arrangement, offering flexible working options. This is a remarkable opportunity to enhance and oversee a significant portion of our subcontracting operations at Wood. The role will serve as a vital link between our Commercial, Legal, and Supply Chain departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Commercial team and other Operating Divisions regarding commercial and contracting policies and terms & conditions.
  • Advise the Manager of Procurement and/or Manager of Construction Contracts on objectives for the commercial and procedural enhancement of the procurement department and execute any approved initiatives.
  • Secure appropriate legal guidance on procurement matters.
  • Advocate for business standards and practices that align with the Corporate and Supply Chain Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure that the terms and conditions of purchase orders, service contracts, and construction contracts are legally sound and compatible with head contracts.
  • Evaluate risks associated with purchase orders, service contracts, and construction contracts in relation to head contract liabilities, advising relevant managers and project procurement staff.
  • Provide Procurement and Contracts support for the development of proposals for new business as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in a related field such as engineering or contract law.
  • Strong experience in pre-award contract compilation within the Energy sector.
  • Experience with Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC projects.
  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager, or Commercial Manager.
