Key Responsibilities:
  • Demand Planning: Utilize forecasted demand for products and components to ensure adequate inventory levels meet customer needs while minimizing excess stock.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including maintaining the Approved Vendor Listing (AVL) and managing relationships with suppliers.
  • Manufacturing Planning: Oversee the relationship with contract manufacturing partners to ensure proper process control, well-maintained delivery schedules, and quality control.
  • Purchasing Activities: Handle procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and monitoring lead times for component stock.
  • Supplier Development: Identify new suppliers and alternative providers, negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness, development, and compliance to our supplier quality manual.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Work closely with Engineering to update and maintain the BOM for all products, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with testing and assembly standards by third-party providers, monitoring and reporting on product quality.
  • Stock Control: Manage stock inventory, including recording and maintaining accurate stock levels. Collaborate with the Operations team on stock counting and control processes.
  • Order Fulfilment Support: Provide assistance to the Operations team as needed to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Resource Planning System Development: Develop and implement an ERP/MRP system to manage stock from production to delivery.
  • Reporting and KPI Analysis: Prepare ad hoc reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and optimize supply chain performance.
Essential Skills:
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Hardware/electrical components with layered bills of materials, preferably within high-tech manufacturing industries.
  • Highly Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proactive Self-Starter: Strong initiative to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience using an ERP System: Inventory management and procurement processes, ideally Cin7 or similar.
  • Keen Interest in the Energy Sector: Commitment to achieving Net Zero goals.
