We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Care Specialist to become a vital member of our Pharmacy team within a secure healthcare environment.

Work Schedule

Shifts available throughout the week, from Monday to Sunday, between 07:30 and 18:00.

Compensation

This is a full-time role, offering an annual salary of up to £41,475 per annum FTE, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmaceutical Care Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Delivering exceptional, patient-focused care by actively seeking, listening to, and responding to patient feedback to ensure personalized treatment.
  • Ensuring a secure and efficient medicines management service, maintaining patient medical records to the required standards, and adhering to established operating procedures.
  • Providing non-judgmental care within professional guidelines, which may involve timely medication administration and evaluating cost-effective prescribing practices.
  • Sharing knowledge regarding pharmaceutical products, medication management, drug protocols, and health education to keep the multidisciplinary healthcare team well-informed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher, BTEC, or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Current knowledge of Continual Professional Development (CPD).
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in pharmacy.
  • General education equivalent to GCSEs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work independently while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Proficient IT skills and literacy.
