About the Company

Are you passionate about culinary arts and eager to explore new flavors? Dolly's Tearoom, renowned for its delightful dining experience, is on the lookout for a motivated commis chef apprentice to become part of our vibrant kitchen team. Whether you are an avid home cook or just starting your culinary journey, this position provides a unique opportunity to enhance your cooking skills and express your creativity.
In this role, you will gain practical experience in food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting the Head Chef in crafting exceptional dishes. Working in both Dolly's Tearoom and the associated dining venue, you will be exposed to a diverse range of culinary practices and styles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging in hands-on kitchen training, including food preparation and service
  • Supporting the Head Chef in creating freshly made dishes
  • Managing daily cleaning and washing tasks
  • Delivering excellent customer service through our food offerings
  • Monitoring portion sizes and reducing waste to uphold profit margins
  • Complying with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Requirements:

Apprentices should be adaptable to the scheduling needs of the business, with a willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Preference will be given to local candidates.

Educational Criteria:

No formal qualifications are required.
