We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join our team at Listers CUPRA Coventry. This role involves working Monday to Friday, with the possibility of Saturday shifts on a rota basis.

The basic salary can reach up to £40,000, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of £43,000, alongside various benefits.

We are committed to providing outstanding development opportunities, including ongoing training to help you advance as a CUPRA Qualified Service Technician or Master Technician.

Key Responsibilities

Perform servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard on the first attempt. Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, including work on suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhaust systems, and air conditioning. Engage in repairs and maintenance of Electric and Hybrid vehicles, utilizing electronic diagnostic tools, focusing on components such as batteries, drive motors, and control systems. Install manufacturer accessories and audio systems as required. Maintain a thorough understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its significance to the business. Be trained to operate additional systems, such as video reporting tools. Complete all service documentation in accordance with manufacturer and brand standards. Collaborate closely with fellow workshop team members to continuously learn and share expertise.

Candidate Profile

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds with experience in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, or similar roles. Experience in independent garages, fast fit centers, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is valued. Candidates should possess or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided. An MOT License is beneficial but not essential. A valid UK Driving License is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
