Job Title: Senior Exterior Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Exterior Design Engineer to join our team at Recruitment Bunker. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of exterior components for our clients in the automotive, defence, aerospace, rail, and marine sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full design and development of exterior components, including CAD, administration activity, BOM, DVP, Family Tree, and Release activity in-line with our NPI process and customer-specific process.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to meet design targets and drive the most cost-effective solutions.
  • Communicate with the Head of Engineering to ensure you have the required level of support and help when required.
  • Support Programme team to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
  • Participate in formal and on-the-job training to enhance your skills in software and design techniques.

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to use CAD and understand CAE Literacy using Catia V5.
  • Understanding of budget management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
