Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join our team at the Recruitment Bunker. As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of exterior components for our clients in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of exterior components, including front and rear bumpers, glazing, and exterior lighting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering analysis and manufacturing, to ensure design solutions meet customer requirements and are feasible for production.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including CAD models, BOMs, and design verification plans.
  • Communicate design solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Lead the sign-off process for design deliverables.
  • Participate in formal and on-the-job training to stay up-to-date with software and design techniques.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with CAD software, particularly Catia V5.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles and GD&T.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
