Thrive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Business Development to lead the identification and progression of income-generating activities, working closely with colleagues to raise funds and enable the delivery of our charitable services.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading business development through B2B contracts in the charity sector or have overseen a successful fundraising team. They will be an excellent communicator and collaborator, skilled in building sustainable partnerships that add value.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing business development strategies to drive growth and sustainability
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and sponsors
  • Identifying and pursuing new income-generating opportunities, including grants, contracts, and partnerships
  • Working closely with the fundraising and philanthropy teams to strengthen Thrive's financial sustainability

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the charity sector and a proven track record of success in business development and fundraising. They will be a strategic thinker, a skilled communicator, and a collaborative team player.

Thrive is an independent charity, primarily funded by donations, trusts, and grants, paid for services, and local authority funding. This role is based in England and can be hybrid or office-based with some national travel and overnight stays.
