As a Business Development Manager at ARDEX UK, you will play a crucial role in driving commercial growth and developing strategic partnerships within the flooring and tiling industries.

Your primary focus will be on identifying and investigating potential commercial market sectors for both existing and future products, with a strong emphasis on developing ARDEX as the preferred supplier in both tiling, flooring, and screeding.

You will be responsible for establishing standard specification packages to suit the application in each sector and the use of ARDEX GROUP products and services within all programmes of work, whether new build or refurbishment.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Developing ARDEX as a business partner providing an added value service
  • Maintaining live information on each client or customer to include personnel movement, project programmes, etc
  • Investigating and developing agreed action plans with respect to identified major projects and then implementing and coordinating with the support of the Head of Business Development, Area Managers, Marketing Department, and Technical Services

You will work closely with the Head of Business Development and Marketing to develop budgets with respect to sales, expenditure, and marketing, as well as develop long-term strategies and activities into plans, such as seminars and training sessions.

Additionally, you will identify contractors who have been nominated to carry out work and work with the relevant Area Managers to ensure appropriate pricing and success in completing the project.

Developing working relationships with complementary manufacturers within the flooring, screeding, and tiling industry is also a key aspect of this role, with the aim of developing the relationship to the point whereby they only specify ARDEX materials in conjunction with their products.

You will also be responsible for preparing monthly management reports giving relevant information on sales developments and activities, as well as providing market information through established reporting channels, continuing to develop a database of all contacts that forms part of the Company's CRM system.

  • Proven experience in business development, commercial growth, or market development
  • Strong understanding of the flooring and tiling industries, including market trends and competitor analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective solutions

You will also need to have a strong understanding of CRM systems and be able to develop and maintain a database of contacts.
