Consultant in Cardiology Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Cardiology to join our prestigious NHS Trust. As a key member of our Cardiology department, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with adult heart disease, particularly those requiring PCI with adjunctive imaging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with our team of five existing cardiology consultants to deliver comprehensive cardiology services, including diagnosis, investigation, and treatment of patients.
  2. Develop and maintain expertise in the management of adult heart disease, with a focus on PCI and use of advanced imaging technologies.
  3. Participate in our weekly Cardiology MDT meeting to discuss cases with other cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons.
  4. Be available for non-resident on-call duties following interventional sessions and may be required to participate in a Cardiology emergency rota.
  5. Attend our bi-monthly Cardiology management meeting to address strategic and operational issues within the department.
  6. Provide teaching, training, and supervision to junior medical staff, as well as involvement in the education of undergraduates, nurses, and allied health professionals.
