Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Public Health Nurse to join our health visiting team in Tunbridge Wells District. As a key member of our team, you will work with children and families in Paddock Wood and Cranbrook, providing support and guidance to promote healthy outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to antenatal and postnatal care programs, ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and babies.
  • Complete mandated reviews, packages of care, and safeguarding assessments, utilizing your clinical expertise to identify and address potential risks.
  • Undertake a range of clinical and non-clinical interventions to support families, promoting evidence-based practice and best outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver the Health Child Programme, aligning with national and local strategies and guidelines.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Healthcare Professional.
  • Higher education modules in Early Intervention in Public Health, Child Development, and Assessment.
  • Experience in community or acute healthcare, with the ability to demonstrate clinically effective practice with children and families.
  • Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS, with knowledge of up-to-date clinical practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
