About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our Housing Services Team as a Housing Sustainment Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers to sustain their housing and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Support: Provide guidance and support to customers to sustain their housing, focusing on identifying their specific needs, vulnerabilities, and life skills essential for independent living.
  • Access to Support: Assist customers in accessing support via specialist external partners, training, and volunteering opportunities to help them achieve their goals.
  • Risk Identification: Identify risks and triggers to positive progression and empower customers to take steps towards independence.
  • Accommodation Options: Identify next steps accommodation options and assist customers in accessing them.
  • Trauma-Informed Approach: Provide a trauma-informed approach to customers' lived experiences, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with key partners to ensure customers' housing needs are met, and our Housing Sustainment Strategy is applied fairly and transparently.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: GCSE English and Maths grade C or above (grades 4-9 or equivalent)
  • Experience: Experience of dealing with the needs of our customer group, including those with Learning Disabilities, Entrenched Homelessness, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Dependencies, and dual diagnosis.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Driving License: A driving license and vehicle insured for business use, as regular travel to various sites is required.
