Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of quality improvement principles and practices. As a Quality Improvement Officer - Adult Social Care, you will be responsible for ensuring that the adult social care market in Essex adheres to regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a quality improvement approach that focuses on the development and implementation of quality standards and best practices.
  • Provide consultancy services to social care providers on how to improve the quality of their services and achieve better customer outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for quality improvement and develop innovative approaches to service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on the quality of service provision across Essex, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Ensure that social care providers are compliant with all external regulation and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including social care providers, commissioners, and other partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and developments in quality improvement and adult social care, and apply this knowledge to inform and improve service delivery.

Requirements

  • Education to A Level equivalent or equivalent experience with evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience within a social care setting with evidence of ensuring quality of outputs in delivering service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good business relationships and influence others.
  • Good understanding of quality standards, analysis, and organisational development, with demonstrable practical application of these.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and achieving objectives.
