About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join our mortuary team at Camden Council. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of mortuary operations, including admission, identification, and storage of deceased bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage mortuary operations, ensuring high standards of post-mortem care and support the investigation process.
  • Assist pathologists with forensic cases, collaborating with emergency services and facilitating viewings and identifications with the Coroner's Office.
  • Work closely with clinicians and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of mortuary policy, procedure, and human anatomy.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technician or equivalent APT qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a mortuary setting, with a focus on high-risk and forensic post-mortems.
  • Good technical knowledge of mortuary policy, procedure, and human anatomy.
  • Ability to work in compliance with SOP and HTA guidelines.
