Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a key member of our mortuary team, you will be responsible for participating in all mortuary procedures, including administration, cleaning, and assistance at post-mortem examinations.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomical pathology and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including electronic records, and ensure that all procedures are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in all mortuary procedures, including administration, cleaning, and assistance at post-mortem examinations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including electronic records.

  • Receive and make calls as necessary, ensuring confidentiality and information issues are maintained.
  • Assist service users with their enquiries, ensuring Trust policy is followed.
  • Identify and address your own continuing professional development and maintain a personal CPD folder.
  • Maintain a record of training and competency for all activities.
