Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join our team at Tower Hamlets Partnership. The successful candidate will assist the pathologist in post-mortems and forensic cases, and will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive system of monitoring and reporting of performance against targets.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Carry out casework, including post-mortems and forensic cases, and assist the pathologist in these procedures.

• Maintain accurate records and administrative arrangements for the mortuary service.

• Undertake casework of a high profile or complicated nature as necessary, and assist the pathologist in post-mortems and forensic cases.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive system of monitoring and reporting of performance against targets.

• Work collaboratively with the Coroner's Service and other stakeholders to ensure a joined-up response to public health funerals.

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• Experience of continuing professional development within the mortuary service.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Well-developed administrative and computer skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology (or equivalent).
