Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join our team at Tower Hamlets Partnership. The successful candidate will assist the pathologist in post-mortems and forensic cases, and will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive system of monitoring and reporting of performance against targets.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Carry out casework, including post-mortems and forensic cases, and assist the pathologist in these procedures.

• Maintain a comprehensive system of monitoring and reporting of performance against targets.

• Be able to work out of hours, as required.

• Assist in the reconstruction and cleaning of bodies after post-mortems, and ensure they are stored or released to undertakers in a timely manner.

• Manage the Parish Funerals process, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• Experience of continuing professional development within the Mortuary Service.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Well-organised, with good administrative and computer skills.

• A Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology (or equivalent).
