Supported Housing Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team at YMCA West Sussex Transitional Housing. As a key member of our housing team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to young people aged 18-25 who are at risk of homelessness.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day-to-day management of our transitional accommodation service.
- Develop and maintain a caseload of residents, working creatively and effectively to support them in developing their assets and talents.
- Contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by providing consistency and reliability.
- Support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people and has a strong understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will also have a calm and assertive manner, with the ability to handle potentially difficult situations. Ideally, you will have knowledge and experience of working with young people, as well as an awareness of all aspects of safeguarding.
