Additional duties include supporting recruitment, training, and mentoring efforts, leading initiatives to win new business, managing accounts, and contributing to the establishment and realization of business goals. Identifying opportunities for partnerships and alliances to leverage new prospects is also a vital aspect of this role.
Essential Experience: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge of safety standards such as IEC 61508, 62061, 61511, Def STAN 00-055, ARP 4754A, DO-178C, or DO-254. A strong background in systems and software engineering processes, techniques, or languages is required, along with experience in one or more of the following defence sectors: Air; Land; Sea; Ordnance, Munitions, and Explosives; Nuclear. Previous experience in consultancy and business development is crucial.
Essential Skills: The successful candidate should exhibit a strong customer-centric approach, skilled in understanding and eliciting requirements. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are imperative. They should be organized and self-sufficient, capable of managing tasks, budgets, and shifting priorities. A positive and driven mindset, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively, is highly desirable. The capacity to apply core expertise and skills to new areas and quickly grasp new domain regulations and requirements is also essential.
Work Environment: The role may involve a combination of office work, client site visits, and remote work. Flexibility in travel may be necessary.
