Position Overview: In response to our expanding operations in the UK, we are seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to enhance our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key functions:

  • Lead the annual audit process and prepare comprehensive tax documentation, including VAT Returns, Corporation Tax, and Personal Tax.
  • Ensure the maintenance of precise and timely accounting records to meet both internal and external reporting standards.
  • Conduct quarterly VAT submissions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit annual financial accounts and statements, collaborating closely with external auditors and accountants as necessary.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations across all depots.
  • Establish and manage financial and operational KPIs, along with project-related reporting for the organization.
  • Develop and implement an internal audit and control framework.
  • Support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities by analyzing forecasting models and identifying potential opportunities and risks.
  • Champion the integration of new technologies and process enhancements within the finance department to boost efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Perform any additional ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Fully qualified ACA/CA/ACCA.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance leadership role, preferably within the construction sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Understanding of governance, audit, and compliance significance.
  • Experience with accounting software, ideally SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns and financial statements.
  • A valid full UK driving license is preferred.
