As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in our inclusive learning environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to enhance the educational experience of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs in a classroom setting, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons, under the guidance of the class teacher, to meet individual needs and learning styles.
- Adapt teaching materials and activities to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all students, fostering a culture of equity and diversity.
- Support students with personal care and additional requirements, promoting independence and self-advocacy skills.
- Forge positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being and academic progress, and collaborating with colleagues to develop effective strategies for supporting students' needs.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, therapists, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students' needs.
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching practices to meet individual needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
