Ackerman Pierce is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Wolverhampton. This is a full-time contract opportunity with the possibility of working from home and a manageable caseload.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to their home environment.
  • Provide expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications to support individuals with complex needs.
  • Recommend adaptations to improve the home environment and enhance the quality of life for service users.
  • Work autonomously and in collaboration with Social Work colleagues to utilize functional, moving, and handling skills and knowledge of equipment to positively influence care and support needs.
  • Provide both simple and complex equipment and adaptations, reviewing their effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct moving and handling assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people and the importance of dignity and respect when interacting with individuals.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
  • Previous experience working with major adaptations.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • HCPC Registration.
