Position Overview
We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated pharmacist to become a vital member of our Pharmacy Medicines Effectiveness (PME) team. This role is designed to support our advanced pharmacy services and enhance the quality of medication management within our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will engage in collaborative efforts with pharmacy, clinical, financial, and commissioning teams across our organization and the broader integrated care system. The primary focus will be on the introduction of safe, clinically effective, and economically viable medications to our formulary, adhering to national standards and commissioning policies.
Specific duties include:
- Leading the PME team in the absence of the Lead Pharmacist, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.
- Conducting thorough evaluations of new medications, assessing their safety, efficacy, and financial implications to inform formulary decisions.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate the introduction of high-cost medications, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and agreements.
- Providing advanced clinical pharmacy services to designated wards or patient groups, with opportunities for independent prescribing.
- Offering education and training to pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals regarding formulary and commissioning matters.
- Managing a junior clinical pharmacist, overseeing their development and performance.

Qualifications and Experience
