We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and driven Catering Operations Manager for a role based in Brighton & Hove, with a clear path for advancement within a leading catering organization in the UK.

Who are you?
As the Catering Operations Manager, you will possess substantial prior experience in a managerial capacity within retail catering, hospitality, or contract catering, and you will be an entrepreneurial and commercially astute leader.

Your passion for excellence, enthusiasm for quality cuisine, and ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships will be key to your success. Whether it’s retail grab-and-go or artisan coffee bar-style employee dining, delivering a 5-star service is essential, with the successful candidate demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.

What you'll be doing:

In your role as Catering Operations Manager, you will ensure the seamless operation of daily activities and lead a dedicated catering team, managing services in the café and staff dining restaurant, hospitality, and events, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service at all times.

You will proactively develop marketing and merchandising strategies focused on innovations in food and service, aiming to exceed expectations and enhance customer experiences, while optimizing sales and profitability to meet departmental financial objectives.

By aligning with the client’s vision and remaining acutely aware of the customer journey, you will identify pressure points and opportunities for improvement. You will motivate, train, and develop managers to achieve outstanding results and accomplish set goals and projects.

  • Excellent organizational skills and commercial insight – able to see beyond the obvious and resourcefully seize opportunities and solve challenges.
  • Business savvy, with an entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivation. A creative thinker who approaches problems with innovative solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of current food and beverage trends in the grab-and-go, casual dining, and coffee bar sectors.
  • Strong financial acumen and proven experience in budget management.
