Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with various needs, including SEMH. The successful candidate will work with small groups and one-to-one with students in our Integrated Support area, the wider academy, and the classroom, actively engaging students with vulnerability factors or Special Educational Needs.
Responsibilities
• Work with individual or small groups of students in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
• Support students with special educational and SEMH needs
• Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities to pupils' responses as appropriate
• Assist with the development of individual development plans for students
• Select, prepare, and clear away classroom materials and learning areas, ensuring they are available for use, including developing and presenting displays
• Arrange/provide resources for lessons/activities under the guidance of the teacher
• Invigilate exams and tests
• Support pupils' emotional and social well-being
