We are in search of a dedicated individual to join our Hope team as a Recovery Support Specialist. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding individuals toward their recovery objectives through tailored assistance and resource access.

Understanding HOPE
The Hope team at Humankind provides critical support and guidance to individuals grappling with substance use issues. Our compassionate professionals deliver empathetic care, facilitating goal-setting, treatment navigation, and resource connection. By nurturing a collaborative relationship, our team empowers individuals to make substantial progress in their recovery journeys. Through their dedication and expertise, Recovery Support Specialists play a key role in the success of those in recovery.
Our team serves as the primary resource for adults facing drug and alcohol challenges while fostering and enhancing community partnerships. We actively engage with individuals to provide support throughout their treatment experiences, encouraging and empowering them toward recovery.
Operating across various community-based facilities, our countywide service is dedicated to delivering comprehensive support to those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of clients and assist them in reaching their recovery goals.
- Aid service users in accessing resources and services to enrich their recovery experience.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and offer guidance to colleagues.
- Maintain precise records and adhere to organizational policies.
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality agreements.
- Mitigate substance-related harm to individuals and the community.
- Engage in supervision and reflect on therapeutic relationships.
- Provide services in both outreach and in-reach capacities.
- Work flexibly across operational sites, including evenings and weekends.
- Ideal candidates will have experience in substance misuse or recovery support.
- Demonstrated compassion, resilience, and strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
- A valid driving license is essential for this role.
