Job Title: Drug and Alcohol Recovery Coordinator

Humankind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Coordinator to join our team in County Durham. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance misuse and addiction.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, delivering evidence-based interventions and support to help them achieve their recovery goals. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including clinical partners and colleagues, to provide a comprehensive and supportive service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an adult caseload of service users, delivering person-centred care and support.
  • Co-produce and review recovery and treatment plans, working collaboratively with service users and their families.
  • Facilitate and promote individuals' progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
  • Reduce alcohol/drug-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
  • Work with service users towards detoxes, both community and in-patient, as well as rehabilitation centres.
  • Collaborate with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals.
