As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring we have the right products at the right prices to meet our customer obligations. You'll work closely with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies that drive growth and optimize inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationships: Build and sustain effective relationships with our supplier network to drive category growth and optimize inventory levels.
  • Analytics & Insights: Produce detailed analysis and insights on category opportunities, supporting the development of category plans.
  • Assortment Strategy: Develop and execute a clear assortment strategy to fit our on-demand delivery convenience offering.
  • Category Strategy: Analyze company data and external market data to determine key trends and drive category strategies.
  • New Business Engagement: Engage with new businesses to increase brand awareness and product range.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams to optimize our customer offering, increase brand investments, and hit company targets.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years category management/buying experience in Grocery products in a food or luxury retailer.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in category management/buying within non-food and/or ambient products.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in negotiation and procurement practices to achieve cost savings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
