An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and patient-focused individual to join our team as a Call Handler at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. As a Call Handler, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality and seamless experience for our service users, acting as a liaison between them and our clinical team.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Call Handler, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing a telephone reception service for all enquiries and referrals into the service
- Supporting the team by engaging with service users, carers, and professionals to ensure that all calls are dealt with efficiently and signposted appropriately
- Utilizing a high level of sensitivity and professionalism while providing call handling duties
- Ensuring all calls are responded to in an appropriate time frame and that all clinical information is effectively communicated and documented within the electronic patient records system
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Flexibility to cope with fluctuating workloads and the occasional requirement to cover other areas in cases of staff absence
- Excellent customer service skills and a confident telephone manner
