Apprentice Credit Controller

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team at WGSN. The successful candidate will have a strong background in collections and a proven track record of improving collection performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve collection performance goals by reducing bad debt, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and other key performance indicators
- Achieve monthly cash collection targets by actively chasing customers
- Attend and participate in collection meetings to update and inform managers of current statuses
- Enforce credit policy and ensure adherence to accepted standards
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams involved in the Accounts Receivable process
- Maintain agreed-upon reporting metrics associated with individual portfolios
- Negotiate and manage relationships with customers
- Run credit checks on new business
- Process month-end closing entries in a timely manner
- Participate in special projects as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of collections experience in a fast-paced, target-driven business
- Confident, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure
- SAP systems experience is an advantage
- Preferred skills in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and spreadsheets
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and team-oriented
