About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Family Worker to join our Assessment team in Children's Services. As a key member of our team, you will work with families to understand concerns regarding a child or young person's safety or wellbeing, make an assessment of the risk and protective factors in the family, and decide on the most appropriate support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term help and support to families in a fast-paced environment
  • Work collaboratively across Children's Services and with other agencies, partners, and stakeholders
  • Empower families to be the best they can be and improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families
Requirements
  • Experience of direct work with children, young people, and their families
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Emotional resilience and ability to have difficult conversations
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of up to £31,364 (plus pending pay award)
  • 27 days annual leave per year rising to 32 with 5 years service (plus bank holidays)
