Job Title: Senior Family Worker

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Family Worker to join our Assessment team in Children's Services. As a Senior Family Worker, you will work in a fast-paced environment, providing short-term help and support to families.

About the Role

As a Senior Family Worker, you will be responsible for working with families to understand concerns regarding a child or young person's safety or wellbeing. You will make an assessment of the risk and protective factors in the family and decide on the most appropriate support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality assessments and interventions with children and their families
  • Work flexibly and collaboratively across Children's Services and with other agencies, partners, and stakeholders
  • Experience of direct work with children, young people, and their families is essential
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to have difficult conversations are crucial
