About the Role

SF Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement and Supply Chain Assistant to join a dynamic business in Coventry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring seamless inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raising Purchase Orders: Utilize SAGE to raise purchase orders as required, ensuring timely delivery of service and repair documents to suppliers and end-users.
  • Procurement Helpdesk Management: Monitor and address requests from end-users via the procurement helpdesk, providing prompt and efficient support.
  • Standing Order and Car Hire Requests: Handle standing order and car hire requests in a timely manner, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Procurement Inbox Management: Monitor the procurement inbox throughout the day, forwarding order confirmations and delivery information to end-users.
  • Liaison with Stakeholders and Suppliers: Establish and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of purchasing requirements and price discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: Sell warehouse items on eBay as needed, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Accounts Team Support: Update the accounts team log for invoice discrepancies and investigate pricing issues, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Order Placement and Reconciliation: Place approved orders online using the company credit card and reconcile monthly statements, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Additional Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks as required by the department, ensuring seamless support.

Requirements
  • Procurement Knowledge: Prior knowledge of procurement principles and practices is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Administration Skills: Strong administration skills, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • IT Literacy: IT literate, with a strong understanding of software applications and systems.
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge of SAGE, EXACT, ORDERWISE, and Oracle is desirable but not essential.
