**Job Summary**
SF Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement and Supply Chain Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Raising purchase orders, via our ERP system, as required, and ensuring service and repair documents are sent to suppliers and end users within set internal KPIs.
- Monitoring and addressing requests from end users via our procurement helpdesk.
- Handling standing order and car hire requests promptly.
- Monitoring the procurement inbox throughout the day, forwarding order confirmations and delivery information to end users.
- Liaising with business stakeholders and suppliers regarding purchasing requirements and resolving price discrepancies with suppliers efficiently.
- Selling warehouse items on online marketplaces as needed.
- Updating accounts team logs for invoice discrepancies and investigating pricing issues.
- Placing approved orders online using our company credit card and reconciling monthly statements.
**Requirements:**
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively and manage a large and constantly shifting workload.
- Happy to be challenged by a fast-paced role with a high interruption level.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and self-manage own workloads.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Business and customer-focused.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and able to complete a variety of tasks and open to training and taking on new activities.
**Desirable Skills and Experience:**
- Prior knowledge of procurement would be an advantage but not essential.
- Strong administration skills.
- IT literate, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAGE, EXACT, ORDERWISE, and Oracle would be desirable but not essential.
