Senior Consultant (Hydrology)

RPS Group is seeking a knowledgeable Senior Consultant (Hydrology) to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive drainage strategies from initial concepts to detailed designs;
2. Engage in consultations with Local Planning Authorities (LPA), Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA), and various stakeholders, including water utility companies and regulatory bodies;
3. Conduct site assessments and fulfill other technical responsibilities associated with the role;
4. Assist in the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Environmental Statement chapters;
5. Support the preparation of bids and fee proposals;
6. Research and identify potential new clients for business development;
7. Participate in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies;
8. Stay informed about the latest trends in drainage design, customer insights, and innovative design methodologies;
9. Contribute to the training and development of junior team members, enhancing the overall capability of the Drainage team in design and modeling;
10. Demonstrate proficiency in drainage design software, including AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Causeway Flow.
