About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join a main contractor based in the Midlands area. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of civil works projects in the water sector, valued between £2m-£3m, from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing a portfolio of projects from inception through to completion
  • Conducting safety tours for all on-site works
  • Holding accountability for complex internal and external stakeholder engagement and management
  • Preparing and managing project management plans
  • Leading on financial reporting and post-contract management
  • Proposing and agreeing on contract strategy with key internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience of delivering civil works from inception through to completion in the water (clean water or wastewater) industry
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Experience in procurement and post-contract management
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
