Position Overview

We are pleased to present a part-time opportunity within one of the leading cervical screening laboratories in England, providing a vital clinical cervical cytology service to the East Midlands region. Our team is known for its collaborative spirit and commitment to staff development and support.

The ideal candidate will be available for work on Mondays and Tuesdays, although we are open to flexible arrangements.

This role is an excellent chance for a seasoned Senior Biomedical Consultant to enhance their professional expertise while enjoying a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate at a senior level in cervical cytopathology, independently analyzing and reporting cervical screening samples.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings across the laboratory network, primarily utilizing virtual platforms.
  • Contribute to the training and development of both medical and non-medical staff within the department.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • A Master's degree or equivalent in Healthcare Science.
  • An Advanced Specialist Diploma in Cervical Cytopathology.

Essential Experience

  • Significant clinical experience within the specialty.
  • Proven experience in reporting within multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in delivering training to both medical and non-medical personnel.
