About the Role

As a Site Manager at Cardo Group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance services to local authorities, social housing providers, and their residents. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all works are completed safely, effectively, and efficiently, meeting the high standards expected by our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage onsite retrofit projects, working closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed within budget and timeframe.
  • Oversee the installation of energy-efficient measures and ensure buildings meet sustainability standards.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships between Cardo and its clients, being open, honest, and transparent in all interactions.
  • Generate, review, and achieve programme performance, ensuring effective communication between clients, residents, and internal project teams.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with residents, direct labour operatives, sub-contractors, clients, building control, and the local fire authority.
  • Carry out customer liaison and support the project team in pre-consultation and update meetings, conveying accurate information to residents and from residents to the project team.
  • Take ownership of customer/resident complaints, dealing with them through to completion and sharing lessons learned with the project team and senior management.
  • Control project execution plans and delivery structured updates to the client, managing, reviewing, and monitoring risk, program, plant, quality, and cost.
  • Promote and follow good project governance through the policies and procedures laid out by the Cardo Group.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years previous site management experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the social housing sector, including planned works programmes and maintenance projects.
  • Sound knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Experience of working in multiple refurbishment project settings/projects.
  • Sound knowledge of section 20 leaseholder consultation and housing legislation.
  • Experience of delivering successful outcomes to complaints.
  • A valid SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS card in site management.
  • NVQ level 6 in site management/construction.
  • A recognised building/trade qualification.
  • Asbestos Awareness Certification.
  • A current valid driving license.
  • Recognised qualifications and/or work experience regarding Fire Assessment surveying and remedial works.
