Finance Director - United Kingdom

HireCircle is collaborating with a rapidly expanding e-commerce platform that specializes in delivering innovative solutions for retailers and brands. They are in search of a seasoned Finance Director (FD) to become a vital part of their executive team.

The ideal candidate will take charge of steering the company's financial objectives, managing budgets, overseeing fund investments, and mitigating associated risks. They will also ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute the financial strategy of the organization in line with its overarching business objectives.
  • Supervise all facets of financial management, encompassing financial planning and analysis, revenue forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Lead the finance department in handling daily financial operations, ensuring precise recording of all transactions and data.
  • Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and regulatory authorities during financial audits and assessments.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and leadership on critical decision-making matters impacting the organization (e.g., assessment of potential partnerships, investments, or acquisitions).
  • Establish and implement frameworks for financial and risk management.
  • Guarantee adherence to all statutory regulations and manage relationships with investors.
  • Direct and oversee all components of the Finance & Accounting functions within the organization.
  • Assess and advise on the implications of long-term planning, introduction of new initiatives, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Finance Director, finance officer, or a similar role in a high-growth setting, ideally within the e-commerce or technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Office and financial management software.
  • Ability to strategize effectively and resolve complex issues.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An analytical mindset, comfortable working with numerical data.
