About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at MacStaff, a leading global manufacturer, distributor, and installer of storage solutions for industrial applications. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing bespoke storage solutions for our customers, working closely with our sales department to understand their needs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate technical solutions to meet customer requirements and create high-quality drawings and layouts using CAD packages.
  • Produce accurate bills of materials for system entry and provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with our in-house tools to design and develop innovative storage solutions that meet our customers' needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to understand customer briefs and provide prompt design costings to increase sales.
Requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and confident communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proficient in drawing software (AutoCAD packages) and competent in IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Minimum GCSE A-C or 9-4 in English, Science, and Maths, and HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
