Career Development Specialist

About the Role
Career Connect is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Careers Adviser. As a key member of our community team, you will play a vital role in supporting 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) to identify their career ambitions and move into fulfilling training and employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide careers support to young people, helping them to understand their career skills and strengths, overcome personal barriers, and create a better future for themselves.
- Build meaningful relationships with young people, their parents/carers, and a range of professionals from support services, training providers, and employers across the city.
- Work closely with colleagues in partner organisations to help improve outcomes for young people.
- Conduct direct contact with young people, their parents/carers, and professionals from support services, training providers, and employers.
Requirements
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective time management.
- Ability to travel independently.
