Financial Services Manager for Social Care

Position Summary: In the capacity of Service Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and integrating the Financial Assessments and Charging Team, Client Welfare Services, and the Commissioned Care Services Payments Team. Your position entails spearheading transformational initiatives, crafting strategic visions, and formulating business plans while ensuring the proficient management of the service portfolio.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide leadership and strategic guidance for financial assessments, payments, appointeeship, deputyship, and brokerage services.
  • Manage the interrelations among service areas to guarantee cohesive service delivery.
  • Design and execute a performance framework that aligns with service objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to legislation, including The Care Act 2014, while offering expert counsel on intricate cases.
  • Take the lead on developing new strategies to respond to legislative modifications and changing service requirements.
  • Supervise client charging processes, including annual reviews and adjustments to thresholds and fees.
  • Evaluate and enhance systems and processes that support the Directorate in mobilizing digital solutions, new policies, and best practices within the Adult Social Care Operations department in anticipation of government reforms.
