Job Description

About the Role:

Newham Sixth Form College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Progress Tutor to join our College Tutor Team. As a Progress Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their academic and personal potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students to set and achieve academic and personal goals
  • Monitor student progress and attendance, providing regular feedback and guidance
  • Develop and deliver enrichment activities to support student learning and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a student-centred environment
  • Contribute to the development of tutoring across the college, participating in training and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with students, staff, and external partners
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
