About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Learning Support Specialist.

The successful candidate will provide essential personal and pastoral support to High Needs learners throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to High Needs learners to facilitate their integration within the wider learner group.
  • Assist learners in developing their personal, communication, and social skills.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to the role and contribute to learner progress reviews.
  • Collaborate with the team to help learners achieve their learning and development goals.
  • Offer support to other learners who require it and assist colleagues with guidance.
  • Support centre colleagues in areas such as administration, learner recruitment, initial assessment, and onboarding.

Requirements:

  • Grade C or above in English and Mathematics with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to support young people with learning disabilities in various settings, including the classroom, excursions, and the workplace.
  • Some experience working with young people who have special needs is preferred.
