Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, promoting their learning and development.
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, ensuring the students' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement individualized education plans and ensure consistent support.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school-based or care-based environment.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of supporting children with learning care needs, including personal care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A valid DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
  • Availability to commit to at least 1-6 months, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the students and the school.
