We are seeking a proactive and well-organized professional to oversee the daily operations of breast imaging services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the mammography team in collaboration with the Breast Imaging Lead and Advanced Practitioners. This role entails ensuring the effective delivery of services and implementing enhancements within the department.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily human resources management, including recruitment and scheduling of staff.

- Address daily operational challenges and make informed decisions to ensure optimal service delivery.

- Ensure compliance of staff, equipment, and policies with national and local regulations and governance standards.

- Guarantee that service users receive exceptional care and that any grievances are thoroughly investigated in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiography
  • Professional registration with HCPC or equivalent
  • Accredited Post Graduate Mammography Certificate
  • Proficiency in English (IELTS Level 7, CEFR level C1 if English is not your primary language)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Post Graduate qualification in management
  • Completion of radiation protection supervisor's course

Experience

Essential Experience

  • Proven management experience at a senior level
  • Demonstrated success in team management
  • Experience in service improvement and change management
  • Familiarity with review and development systems and KSF usage

Desirable Experience

  • Background as a radiographer or superintendent
  • Experience as a radiation protection supervisor
  • Knowledge of IR(ME)R legislation
  • Experience in budget management
  • Involvement as a senior member of a multidisciplinary team
