Manufacturing Engineer for Augmented Reality Displays

Snap Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Snap Lab team in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing new tools and processes that will enable next-generation nanophotonics and related systems for our world-leading augmented reality displays.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop novel fabrication methods for augmented reality waveguides.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement new automation processes.
- Work closely with equipment vendors and suppliers to identify and source new components and systems.
- Assist in the transfer and dissemination of process knowledge within the company.
- Proven track record of hands-on process development with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience in building tools to develop processes to proof-of-concept level.
- Background in high-volume production (e.g., FMCG, consumer electronics, medical devices).
- Experience in specifying and commissioning third-party automation equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, mechatronics, and industrial automation.
- Experience in optics or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks or NX) and GD&T, programming (e.g., Python, Matlab) and quality management systems.
We offer a competitive salary range £90,000 - £113,000 (annual salary) commensurate with your qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs. Our compensation philosophy is designed to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
