Position Overview
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our dedicated team as a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist within the community mental health team. This role is integral to enhancing our psychological services and supporting our existing team members in managing patient waiting lists effectively.
You will become part of a collaborative and nurturing environment, engaging with a diverse array of clinical cases. This position offers a unique chance to advance your therapeutic expertise in modalities such as Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Clinical supervision will be available in these therapeutic approaches, ensuring your professional growth. Our team benefits from the guidance of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who oversees adult mental health services, providing a robust support system.
The primary work location will be within the community, with potential travel to various sites as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver a qualified Clinical Psychology Service to patients within the designated teams, ensuring comprehensive psychological assessment and therapy in accordance with established service protocols.
2. Provide expert advice and consultation regarding patients' psychological care to both psychology and non-psychology colleagues, as well as to other caregivers, while working independently within professional guidelines and service policies. You will also develop advanced consultancy skills by implementing structured consultancy systems as directed by your Locality Professional Lead.
3. Apply research skills for auditing, policy development, and service enhancement within your area of practice.
