Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Clinical Psychologist to become a vital part of our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. This position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your expertise in Clinical Psychology, with a particular emphasis on Mental Health Services for Children and Young People. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations of children, adolescents, and their families
  • Developing and executing treatment plans for psychological therapy and mental health management
  • Providing neuropsychological evaluations and interpreting findings
  • Delivering regular clinical supervision and overseeing caseloads

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Honours degree in Psychology
  • Registered Practitioner Psychologist with HCPC
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • Experience in clinical supervision and psychological therapies
  • Specialized training in therapeutic practices with children

Experience:

Required:

  • Background in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
  • Ability to adhere to professional standards and policies
  • Strong organizational and negotiation abilities
  • Direct clinical experience across various environments

Preferred:

  • Experience in supervising junior psychology staff
  • Training in multiple therapeutic modalities
  • Experience in psychological assessment and intervention

Skills:

Required:

  • Proficient keyboard skills and IT literacy
  • Capability to plan and organize tasks effectively
  • Ability to manage stress and handle emotional clinical material
  • Flexibility in working hours and remote working options
  • Valid full driving license

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Electronic Patient Record Systems
