About the Role:
In the capacity of a Mainframe Consultant, you will engage with pivotal stakeholders and leverage your technical expertise throughout various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. This includes gathering requirements, defining application architecture, and designing solutions. Your contributions will be vital in producing high-level design documentation and delivering quality code for assigned modules. You will also oversee validation processes for diverse testing types and support implementation, transition, and warranty activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in requirements gathering and end-to-end design processes leading to deployment.
- Utilize your extensive experience (7+ years) in managing batch and online applications on IBM Mainframe.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Languages: COBOL, JCL
- Tools: TSO/ISPF, SPUFI, FILE-AID, FILE MANAGER, CHANGMAN, IBM MQ, JIRA, HORIZON, Bitbucket, IDZ, VMware, SonarQube, SonarLint, IDZ Debugger
- Database: IMSDB
- Operating System: Z-OS
- File Organization: PS, PDS, GDG
- Online/GUI Tools: IMS DC
- Development Methodologies: Agile
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of Agile and Mainframe certifications is advantageous.
